Fusilli or spirelli is the name of the pasta variety in the form of a spiral, mostly six or seven centimeters long. A light or soft sauce fits the best for this paste, for example self-made pesto sauce. Pasta has arisen independently in diverse cultures and is from there dispersed over the whole world. Â It is a dough product, made from hard grains, especially hard wheat, that can be diluted in diverse forms. Fusilli or Spirelli is the name of a pasta in the form of a spiral, mostly six or seven centimeters long. A light and soft sauce is best suited for this kind of pasta, for example: pesto sauce. The pasta is made of coarse ground durum wheat, what is also called semolina or grouch. This pasta contains less fibers, minerals and vitamins in comparison with the wholemeal variety, but has almost as much healthy proteins.
