Thyme (thymus) is a plant from the lip flower family. Especially the 'common' bush-shaped thyme is used as a kitchen herb. It is a Mediterranean herbal and is also part of the bouquet garni and Provencal herbs. It has a stronger aromatic herbal, fresh taste. Thyme improves the digestion of fats and is in terms of taste the counterpart of fat. Because of this, it is often used in stew pies, meat dishes and soups, but it also fits well in a cold vegetable salad. Thyme has also long been used as a medicine to strengthen the lungs and for (kink) coughing, among other things. Because of the antiseptic properties, is is also used in cough medicine and mouthwash.
This product is produced in a facility that also processes nuts, peanuts, sesame, wheat and gluten.
