These smaller oat flakes are perfect suited for making oat meal. Combine the flakes with a milk of your choice, cook it ready within 2-3 minutes and let it rest for about 5 minutes. Oatmeal is a delicious, nutritious breakfast, especially with some fresh fruit or honey. Oats is very rich of nutritional fibers and proteins, and contains besides that much (vitamin B1). The latter is especially important for the proper functioning of the muscles and the nervous system. Finally, oats also contain all kinds of minerals, including manganese, magnesium and phosphorus. In order to make the flakes, the moisture content of the grain is raised by means of steam. It is almost impossible to flatten the grains without steam, because the extra moisture makes sure that the grains are flattened instead of crumbled. 

Our organic Sultana raisins are unsulfurized. They are pure nature, but somewhat darker of color than the golden Sultana raisins that you see in the stores. Raisins contain relatively much potash, even more than bananas! Potash is of great importance to ensure good functioning of the heart and other muscles. Besides, raisins are very rich of the boron mineral, which contributes to strong bones and healthy hormones.

For this mix, we have selected the seeds with one important property: they are all rich off omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. These multiple unsaturated fatty acids contribute for instance to a lower cholesterol grade. Chia seed and line seed contain in comparison much omega-3 fatty acids, while sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and sesame seed contain more omega-6. Besides that, they contain also many important vitamines and minerals, among which vitamine B6, iron and magnesium. Pumpkin seeds are very rich of proteins and fibers. These are so-called 'complete' proteins, what means that they contain all essential amino sours. They contain also much magnesium, potash and iron. Sesame seed contains nutritional fibers, what is important for a healthy digestion, and is very rich of iron and calcium. Chia seed contains also much thiamine (vitamine B1) and niacin (vitamine B3). These are two of the five most important vitamines.
