The slightly salty taste of tamari goes perfectly with the mild, creamy cashew nuts. The cashews are roasted together with the tamari, so that the taste of the soy sauce penetrates well into the cashews. Tamari is a Japanese soy sauce made from fermented soybeans, and is a bit thicker and less salty than the better-known 'regular' soy sauce. This special combination is delicious as a snack, or as an addition to salads or other dishes. If you can't get enough of these cashews, try our other tamari roasted nuts and seeds, such as almonds or pumpkin seeds. Like the raw variety, tamari roasted cashews are rich in iron and magnesium. These minerals are both necessary for the proper functioning of the human body. In addition, roasted cashews also contain a lot of unsaturated fats, which contribute to lowering cholesterol.
