Mung beans are small, green beans that are especially used in the Asian kitchen. The beans are both used in savory as sweet dishes. Many dishes use a pasta of cooked mung beans as basis for their meal. In some regions of India, the beans are used together with ginger and salt as ingredient for pancakes. In Hong Kong, they are often used to make ice creams. Just like with other beans, mung beans are rich of fibers and proteins.
