Bulgur is a grain product that is being made of wheat. The wheat grains become steamed, dried and afterwards pulverized. The format of the bulgur grains is dependent of the grinding process of the wheat. This bulgur is rather coarse of structure, which gives it a strong bite even after cooking. Bulgur is an important ingredient in the Middle-East, It is a common dish in Tabouleh for instance. Bulgur contains many fibers and proteins. It is also an excellent source of several minerals like magnesium, mangaan and fosfor. Bulgur contains gluten because it is made of wheat.
