If you like a complete breakfast with as many variations in grains as possible, you're better than good with our seven grain flakes. This mix contains seven different kinds of flakes: wheat, barley, oats, rye, maize, buck wheat and rice. Grain flakes are very rich in nutritional fibre and protein. They also contain thiamine (vitamin B1) in good quantity. Vitamin B1 is especially important for the good functioning of the muscles and the nerve system. Grains also contain several minerals, such as manganese, magnesium and phosphorus. In order to make the flakes, the moisture content of the grain is raised by means of steam. The grains are then flattened by flattening machines, where they come out as flat flakes. It is almost impossible to flatten grains without steam, because the extra moisture makes sure that the grains are flattened instead of crumbled.
