If you like a complete breakfast with as many variations in grains as possible, you're better than good with our seven grain flakes. This mix contains seven different kinds of flakes: wheat, barley, oats, rye, maize, buck wheat and rice. Grain flakes are very rich of nutritional fibers and proteins. They also contain much thiamine (vitamin B1). The latter is especially of importance for the good functioning of the muscles and the nerve system. Grains contain also several minerals, such as mangaan, magnesium and phosphorus. In order to make the flakes, the moisture content of the grain is raised by means of steam. The grains are then flattened by flattening machines, where they come out as flat flakes. It is almost impossible to flatten grains without steam, because the extra moisture makes sure that the grains are flattened instead of crumbled.
