We would like to inform you about this year's Brazil nut harvest.
Important! Due to price and ingredient changes, new labels are required for your self-service dispensers.
At the end of February of this year, we received the first reports about failing harvests of Brazil nuts. The first indication was that the harvest would be around 60-70% of the 2024 harvest. As we had already contracted volumes for 2025 with a producer in Bolivia, we regarded this as a mere notification.
A few weeks ago, however, we were informed by our producer that the actual harvest volume appears to be only 40-50% of the 2024 harvest. As a consequence, there are not enough Brazil nuts available to fulfil our contract. Due to scarcity, prices in the market have risen by almost 250% for the limited volume that is still available.
Changes to products containing Brazil nuts
As a result of the limited availability of Brazil nuts, we have made the following changes to products that contain Brazil nuts.
Art.nr. 8009-10 Mixed nuts
We have changed the composition of our Mixed Nuts and removed Brazil nuts from the recipe. The new Mixed nuts (without Brazil nuts) are available for order under article number 8509-10.
Art.nr. 8544-10 Mixed nuts – roasted & salted
We have changed the composition of our Mixed nuts – roasted & salted and removed the Brazil nuts from the recipe. The new Mixed nuts – roasted & salted (without Brazil nuts) will soon be available to order under article number 8644-10.
Art.nr. 8570-10 Mixed nuts – dry roasted
We have adjusted the composition of our Nut Mix – dry roasted and removed the Brazil nuts from the recipe. The new composition Nut Mix – dry roasted (without Brazil nuts) will soon be available for order under article number 8670-10.
Art.nr. 8006-10 Brazil nuts
Unfortunately, we have had to adjust the price for this item. We are selling plain Brazil nuts while our stocks last.
BioNut Brazil nuts discontinued
Unfortunately, we have had to discontinue the following items:
