Coffee with a rich, deep aroma and a lovely hint of sweet cacao and roasted nuts. Its fantastic background story and strong body makes this a special cup of coffee. This medium roast is perfect for drip coffee and cafetiere.
The coffee: about 25% of the coffee is produced by women. They live in areas where inequality, poverty and abuse are commonplace. In 2004, more than 460 women in Peru were united to emancipate and improve their future. They started growing their own organic Fairtrade coffee: café Femenino. The café Femenino project helps nowadays more than 1500 women in Middle- and South America to emancipate themselves and earn their bread.
The process: The coffee beans are being plucked in three to five rounds and washed with clear water. The beans are 100% sun dried. The coffee beans arrive 'green' (approved) to IDorganics, where they are being perfectly roasted by our coffee roaster through the ''slow roast process''. The whole process of bean-to-coffee stays in the hands of women.
