Wheat is an highly versatile grain that is eaten all over the world. We use it for bread, pasta, cookies, and a lot more. These wheat flakes are especially suited to be used in muesli, but you can - just like oats and other grains - cook these also to a gruel. Wheat contains many nutritional fibers and proteins. It also a good source of minerals, among which mangaan, phosphorus, magnesium and sink, and it contains the B-vitamins thiamine and niacin. In order to make the flakes, the moisture content of the grain is raised by means of steam. The grains are then flattened by flattening machines, where they come out as flat flakes. It is almost impossible to flatten grains without steam, because the extra moisture makes sure that the grains are flattened instead of crumbled.
This product is produced in a facility that also processes nuts, peanuts, sesame, wheat and gluten.
